Procedure; Place a 5-gallon pail under the tap, turn the tap on fully and at the same time start your stop watch or other timing device. Time how long it takes to fill the 5-gallon pail in seconds, and convert this value to the number of gallons that would be supplied in one minute. In instances where an existing system is being added to, also identify the existing components and their location relative to the new area to be irrigated.
